Techno Guards promote FIRST & STEM at California State Capitol

We visit the Capitol - on our mission to get a FIRST team in every School in California, and to get legislators aware of and involved in FIRST.

We met with Senator Ted Gaines (First District), talking about FIRST, FIRST Tech Challenge -  and how FIRST promotes STEM. We also taught him how to drive Alice!
He presented us each with a Senate Certificate of Recognition- for our achievements and work in the community.

Senator Gaines took us down to the Senate Floor.
We drove Alice in front of Governor Brown's office - much to the delight of several groups of visiting students!
We met with US Senator Boxer's representative, Brandon Ida, and talked about FIRST and FIRST Tech Challenge.
He presented us with a personal letter from Senator Boxer , congratulating us on our achievements and work promoting FIRST and STEM.

We didn't get the chance to meet with Governor Brown this time, but we did say 'hello' to his cool portrait!

We also were interviewed by CB student video - who are making a video to promote FIRST at their school . We will be helping them start a FIRST Tech Challenge team at their school.
