The Techno Guards release a mini-documentary and web site with their award winning idea: Get Robots (Have Robot, Will Travel)

Connecting FIRST® and FIRST® Tech Challenge robotics teams with the Education Community

Last year, at Worlds in St. Louis , the Techno Guards gave a presentation on the PTC stage.

The team was one of the  PTC Design Award nominees, and their extensive use of the CAD software
in both the design and build process was extensive. They really impressed the PTC representatives!

The Techno Guards are known for their innovative and well designed robots, incredible autonomous programs, and extensive community outreach. Pretty impressive - for a small 4 member team from the Sierra foothills!

At this year's FTC World Championship in St. Louis - they were finalists for 3 of the top awards: Innovate, Design and Inspire.... a new 'FIRST' for any FTC team - and a well deserved recognition from the FTC World community.

The Techno Guards presented their innovative program connecting FIRST and FIRST Tech Challenge teams with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) educators. The idea, "Have Robot, Will Travel!" was one of the five winners at STEMposium.

The event was held on Friday, April 1, 2011 in the California Academy Of Sciences in San Francisco. All 12 of the finalists' presentations can be viewed at their about page.

Alice is our robot for the "Get Over It!" Challenge, and is our most ambitious robot yet. We call the robot Alice because, just like Alice In Wonderland, she gets smaller and bigger!
